We are currently seeking an experienced and fun part-time barista to join our rapidly expanding team. Candidates should have knowledge and experience with speciality coffee, be adaptable, and possess excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude to ensure high-quality coffee delivery.
We are located in Kennington, South East London, and operate a coffee and flower stall. Our regular customers from the local community visit us for freshly ground coffee and food. We use La Marzocco machines and a Mythos 1 grinder. Our priority is maintaining a supportive and joyful work environment for all our staff.
Role:

- Mandatory days Wednesday / Thursday / Friday

- Salary £11.50 - £14.00 per hour

Day-to-Day Tasks for Barista:
- Seasoning and adjusting the espresso machine before trading starts
- Preparing espresso-based coffees, food, and snacks
- Serving customers with a friendly demeanour
- Backflushing the espresso machine twice a day
- Completing opening and closing duties, including setting up necessary supplies and tools, cleaning all equipment and areas, and locking doors
- Setting up, stocking, and maintaining work areas
- Ensuring cleanliness of all work areas, counters, and equipment throughout the day
- Inputting orders into the cash register system and collecting payments from customers
Skills and Experience:
- Relevant barista experience in a similar position, working in a high-volume environment and delivering high-quality coffees
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to adapt and respond to customer needs quickly
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, able to build effective relationships with people at all levels and from diverse backgrounds
- Great team-building skills, as we are a close-knit team
- Ability to work outdoors, as we operate from a stall
