№№ is a small, independent specialty coffee business with one shop in Camberwell and one in Bermondsey. Our shop in Camberwell is set within Brunswick Park, in a charming old former park ranger’s office, and we are looking for a passionate, experienced head barista to join us as manager of our shop. On a full-time basis, or willing to consider 30 hours plus.

We roast our own coffee, and alongside this also sell a range of homemade cakes and cookies, and a small range of deli products, pastries and bread from local artisan suppliers.

As we are a young business, there is plenty of potential and opportunity to grow in this role, and to help guide the business.

As the shop is small, offering mostly take-aways, you would likely be mostly on your own running the shop, but would sit as part of a small team, communicating regularly with our other shop colleagues, and managing a small team of part time staff. As well as running shifts, your role would be to ensure the success of the shop, looking at ways to improve it, and maintaining and improving standards, ensuring well stocked shelves, a clean and beautiful shop environment, and delegating tasks to others.

We are looking for someone really friendly and with a genuine passion for coffee, who has high standards and finds joy and satisfaction in this role, in caring for this shop and helping to build the business.

We think this role best suits someone working full time, or anything between 30-40 hours per week. We are very open about shifts and it would be your responsibility to build the rota and manage your own time.

The set up is simple and efficient (including Victoria Arduino Eagle One) and you’re responsibilities on a day to day would include the following:

  • opening the shop and setting up for the day
  • serving hot and cold drinks
  • serving cakes and pastries and bread to take away
  • taking payments (card only)
  • clearing up and keeping the place nice and tidy
  • keeping a good atmosphere, i.e. music, plants, presentable space
  • stocking up and refilling
  • cleaning up and closing down for the day
  • locking up

What we’re looking for: - at least 3 years’ experience with specialty coffee - an outgoing, warm personality and great attitude - proactive, a strong work ethic and willingness to pitch in whatever the task - an eye for quality, detail, speed and service - enthusiasm for coffee and great quality artisanal products

What we can offer you - bonus incentives - staff discounts - good pay - flexible working and a happy, welcoming atmosphere
