Caravan
We have been passionate about people enjoying great-tasting and 100% traceable speciality coffee ever since we started roasting in the basement of our first restaurant fourteen years ago. Today, we’re a B Corp certified roaster, supplying coffee fresh from the Loring Peregrine S70 at our North London roastery to a range of growing customers, including our nine restaurants and three Brew Bars.
The Role
As a Production Roaster, you will be responsible for supporting the entire roasting process, from green coffee loading, to roasting with expertise, to daily roasting schedules. You will work closely with other members of the production team to ensure that quality standards are met and that production schedules are adhered to.

• Support weekly maintenance tasks and maintenance records of the S70 Loring and all other roasting equipment such as destoners, scales, and green loaders.
• Support monthly planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks, following provided training and record keeping requirements.
• Utilise and maintain the integrity of Caravan’s Cropster roasting and inventory system, including green coffee distribution, roast profiles, and target KPIs.
• Always maintain cleanliness and organisation of the production floor and quality lab.

• Look for ways to reduce your own and your team’s environmental impact, by following sustainability frameworks provided by Caravan.
• Organise your workflow efficiently and communicate any bottlenecks or areas of concern to your line manager.
