We are looking for a friendly and dedicated Head Barista to lead our barista team and help elevate our coffee offerings. We are an independent coffee shop passionate about crafting exceptional coffee experiences for our community. We believe in quality, sustainability, and creating a welcoming space.

We’re looking for someone who is friendly, with solid experience in specialty coffee, ideally living nearby – we’d love to hear from you! :) You should be a cooperative team player with a positive attitude, and have experience in training and developing baristas. It’s essential that you understand the importance of serving coffee swiftly and efficiently, without compromising on quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coffee Preparation: Is a speciality coffee enthusiast, has a minimum of 3 years’ experience making coffee to a high standard.

• Team Leadership: Train, mentor, and supervise the barista team to ensure consistency and quality in every cup.

• Customer Service: Create a welcoming and friendly environment for all customers, going above and beyond to provide excellent service.

• Inventory & Ordering: Manage inventory, equipment, and supplies, placing orders with suppliers when necessary.

• Quality Control: Maintain equipment and ensure cleanliness of the coffee bar, ensuring adherence to health and safety standards.

• Menu Development: Assist in developing new and seasonal drinks, keeping up with customer preferences.

• Shift Management: Lead by example, ensuring smooth operations during peak hours and overseeing the day-to-day running of the coffee shop.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of barista experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role.

• Coffee Knowledge: Deep understanding of coffee beans, brewing methods, and equipment, with a passion for quality coffee.

• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to manage, train, and inspire a team.

• Customer Focused: Friendly, personable, and dedicated to providing outstanding customer service.

• Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain high standards in every aspect of the job, from coffee preparation to cleanliness.

• Problem-Solving: Able to handle a fast-paced environment, multi-task, and think on your feet.

• Availability: Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and early mornings.
