We have recently expanded our cafe area and are looking to add to our passionate team of baristas.

Batch Baby was founded by ourselves - Saskia and Tom - on a love of the service industry, after having worked as managers and baristas in some of the top establishments in the industry. With over 20 years of experience working on the floor between us, in all positions, our priority is providing a positive and supportive work environment, where everyone is included, and everybody contributes.

All positions include:

  • Paid trainings
  • Free lunch
  • Free coffee
  • Paid breaks
  • Coffee festival visits

We are currently hiring for two positions, a floor-based leadership role and a kitchen-based position in our new kitchen space. For all applicants, some speciality coffee experience is absolutely preferred, but we will consider all submissions. We are looking for ideally full-time (35-40 hours, maximum 5 days a week) but will consider the right part-time candidate, and we will build the role around the strengths, interests and availability of the right individual. We are looking for someone who wants to learn or take the next step within speciality coffee, is motivated, hard-working and social. Most important is that they work well within a team and value and contribute to the warm atmosphere of the cafe.

For the management role we are looking for someone with experience as supervisor or cafe manager in high quality environments. The ideal candidate will have aspirations for a career in speciality coffee and have a few years of experience behind them already. Crucially, we are looking for someone who loves coffee, has good communication skills, takes their jobs seriously but is personable and appreciates the fun side of the industry.

For the kitchen role we are looking for someone who has experience working in coffee shops and kitchens, ideally in a coffee shop kitchen. We are expanding our food offering and we are looking for someone with an interest in high quality cooking and some experience to back that interest up.

Every applicant needs: - a keen interest in speciality coffee, food and community - Is hard-working, and happy to get stuck-in, whether they’re on the till, pulling shots, or taking the bins out. - Is looking for a long-term role within the business and industry

We looking forward to hearing from you!

Tom and Saskia
