About you

You would have at least 2 years’ experience in speciality coffee working as a barista, and looking to take on more responsibilities in managing a coffee shop. Alternatively, you would have 2 years’ experience working as a barista in a chain coffee brand, but with a genuine interest in learning speciality coffee. You are enthusiastic, engaged and reliable, with the right attitude and willingness to learn. You are full of good energy, a helpful team member, and someone keen to build your stills and knowledge in coffee and hospitality. You can commit to 35-40 hours a week, including some weekends, and are comfortable opening and closing the coffee shop by yourself. Mornings are not an issue for you, and you bring good energy, even at 6am!

About us

In return for your hard work and commitment, we promise to offer you a positive and safe working environment, and the training you need to do your job well. We are an independent specialty coffee bar, owned and run by Rodolfo and Charlotte. Through our coffee bar, we offer great-tasting coffee on the go, a quick respite for travellers/commuters, and an impressive selection of retail items and equipment for coffee lovers who brew at home. We roast our own coffee beans too – which we sell online and in-store, and we are extremely passionate about ‘wowing’ people with our coffee, and the other unique-tasting drinks that we serve in our coffee bar. But more than anything, we are a hospitality brand, and the social atmosphere and professional service that our customers experience with us is an essential part of our business. Staff are the heartbeat of our operations, and we aim to be a great employer by providing our staff with the space and opportunities to learn and grow, transparency and openness in how we work, and the flexibility and respect for different staff member’s needs. We pay London Living Wage for all fully trained baristas.

A culture of learning and opportunity

As a small team, we value thoughts and ideas from all our team members, and like to create opportunities for people to learn more in areas they are passionate about or keen to develop. There are plenty of opportunities to get involved in and learn from all areas of our business, including roasting, e-commerce, marketing, operations, food tech, strategy, design and finance. As we roast our own coffee, there are regular opportunities to take part in cuppings, learn about roasting, and see our coffee’s journey from green bean to the behind the bar, and onwards to our wholesale clients.

To apply for the role, please send us a CV and cover letter, stating what interests you in the job. This is a must and we are unlikely to consider applications without a cover letter.
