Operations Manager

Lane Eight Coffee are looking for a friendly, experienced cafe manager to lead our team and elevate our customer experience across our two locations in south London.

ABOUT US

Lane Eight Coffee exists to give people a moment of calm away from busy life in our city. We have two locations - an espresso bar and a more relaxed studio space - both in the Clapham and Battersea area. Our name and ethos - take the outside lane - are drawn from the running track. The runner in the outside lane is staggered out in front, running their own race. We design our space and products in line with this thinking - minimal, calm, a place to focus on the here, the now and the coffee in your hand. Alongside our spaces, we host a regular running club, Mile 27.

• You’re friendly, hard working and reliable

• You’re experienced with managing shift schedules and managing stock
• You have proven expertise in speciality coffee and hospitality
• Not essental: an interest in running, the oudoors, interior design and/or mindfulness practice

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead by example
• Foster a culture of exceptional customer service
• Ensure that every interaction reflects our values
• Manage daily operations
• Maintain high standards and effective cost control
• Onboard, train and mentor a team that embodies our values
• Work closely with our head of coffee to stay informed on all coffee offerings
• Create a calm, relaxing environment for our customers that aligns with our brand values

OUR OFFER - A competitive salary between 32,000 - 35,000 per annum depending on experience - A positive and enjoyable working environment - All the coffee and matcha you can drink - 28 days paid holiday (inclusive of bank holidays)
