Overview: Join our team as a Cafe Assistant and be a part of a vibrant and customer-focused environment. As a Cafe Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our cafe by providing excellent customer service and assisting in food preparation. A person experienced for at least a year in speciality coffee industry Ability to dial in espresso and filter coffee Ability to pour consistent latte art High-quality standards in everything they make Have an outgoing personality and genuinely enjoy talking to customers Believe in being considerate and kind to fellow staff as well as the value of communication Able to work quickly, calmly, and efficient during busy periods Naturally seeks out tasks during quieter periods Understands the value of paying attention to details Seeks out to create a constantly clean cafe environment whenever possible
Duties: - Greet warmly our customers and work on the till to take orders from them. - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cafe, including cleaning tables and equipment - Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently - Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the quality and safety of products - Collaborate with team members to meet customer needs effectively
Experience: - Previous experience in a customer service role is preferred - Knowledge of basic maths for handling cash transactions - Familiarity with food safety practices - Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively - Familiarity with coffee beverages. - Willingness to help team members and contribute to a positive work environment

Pay: £11.50-£13.50 per hour
