TECHNICAL ASSISTANT

Location: Brixton and West Dulwich, London

Type: Permanent

Hours: 5 days/40 hours a week

Salary: Based on Experience

Benefits: 20 days Annual Leave

Reports to: Head of Technical

Overview:

A Full time position has arisen that will involve providing basic technical service on a range of espresso & coffee equipment in the field, as well as internal maintenance, general logistics, and client interfacing.

Responsibilities:

Completing scheduled or preventative maintenance for clients on a range of espresso equipment

Instal and un-instal equipment

Evaluate and assess equipment, and identifying potential problems before they arise

Troubleshooting equipment problems either on site or over the phone

General logistical support

Independently manage work schedule

Coordinate with third party suppliers and service providers

Accurate tracking and reporting for invoicing and internal communication

Inventory management

Required skills

Must be able to communicate effectively with individuals of differing knowledge levels (vendors, sub-contractors, operations management, corporate staff, etc.).

Background in hospitality, preferably specialty coffee

Good time management skills - able to prioritise tasks into

Strong management capabilities to maintain control of activities of contractors, suppliers, job supervisors and numerous projects.

Good time management skills with a proven ability to set and maintain schedules.

Must be highly motivated, able to prioritize multiple tasks, organize work to meet deadlines and multiple requests.

Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.

Able to take direction from multiple sources and follow through multi-step project steps/procedures consistently.

Able to work independently; self-directed, and results driven

Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical and plumbing building systems.

Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office programs.

Valid driver’s license in good standing, and 25 or over for insurance purposes

Physical Demands

Applicant will be expected to regularly lift up to 35kg and periodically up to 45kg, climb ladders, and sit or stand for extended periods of time.
