Production Assistant (Temporary Contract)

Square Mile Coffee Roasters is a multi-award-winning coffee roasting company. Focused on wholesale, we choose to work with like-minded businesses wishing to serve our coffee to the best of their ability, with our webshop echoing the discernment and ethos we practice in the rest of our business. On a mission to continually shape and improve our dynamic and expanding business, we pride ourselves on the exceptional quality coffee we source, buy, import, roast, and dispatch internationally.

We are looking for a temporary Production Assistant to join us for 8 weeks in the lead-up to the festive period, with the ability commence their role at the start of November 2024.

As a Production Assistant, you will apply your enthusiasm, excellent focus, attention to detail and skill set to the following:

• Packing roasted coffee
• Picking, boxing and preparing orders for dispatch
• Cleaning and maintaining the Production and Roastery work areas
• Taking part in weekly cuppings

Our ideal candidate will be focused, passionate about their work and want to learn more about coffee!

Requirements:

• Experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential
• Able to focus and show attention to detail
• Ability to work collaboratively with your team to meet deadlines
• Motivated in a fast-paced environment
• Have evidence of the right to work in the UK
• Please note: Regular heavy lifting is involved in this role.

The successful candidate will get:

• £27, 040 per annum pro rata
• 28 paid holidays pro-rata plus public/bank holidays
