We are now looking for a Production Assistant to join our Roastery team working at HMP The Mount.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Production:
▪ Goods production, order fulfilment & general warehouse duties in the roastery, including collection, intake & storage of stock items, bagging and grinding coffee, and packing orders daily.
▪ Assisting roasters during the roasting process with green coffee loading and weighing out.
▪ Supervising our team of resident production staff when required, ensuring all company policies are adhered to, production logs are completed correctly, and all orders are packed accurately.
▪ General warehouse administrative duties, such as checking and filing records.
▪ Some duties will require lifting of heavy goods (+15kg). You will be expected to be fit and able.
Other duties:
▪ Assisting setting up daily cupping sessions
▪ Assisting with QC - espresso & filter calibration and recipe creation
▪ Attending and assisting at company events, eg cuppings etc
▪ Completing all relevant daily/weekly paperwork and processes ensuring they meet the expectations of SALSA.
▪ Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the production floor at all times, as outlined by relevant company, department, and prison policies and processes.
▪ Assist in routine cleaning & maintenance schedules for the production floor including all equipment (daily/weekly/monthly/six months/yearly).
▪ You may be required to attend industry events, working additional hours (out of hours and/or on weekends). Your manager will advise you of your rights to days in lieu in this instance.
