We are looking for an Impact and Training Manager who is passionate about social impact and training, with a minimum of two years experience working in coffee training and education.

As we enter an exciting new chapter of growth, we’re seeking an Impact and Training Manager to join our team. This pivotal role, unique to the coffee industry, will be instrumental in driving our social impact objectives and shaping the future of our business.

We’re looking for someone with expertise in learning and development who can adapt these skills to a Social Enterprise setting, helping us make a meaningful difference in tackling homelessness. Building and nurturing relationships with our charity and employment partners will be a key part of the role, enabling us to expand and achieve our impact goals.

• A minimum of two years experience working in coffee training and education.

• The ability to engage and build positive relationships with charity, employment, and wholesale partners.

• Experience working with vulnerable individuals in a training and education capacity.

• Knowledge of the issues faced in accessing and sustaining employment.

• Experience developing and implementing speciality coffee training programmes.

• Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written with experience in managing a team.

• An entrepreneurial mindset and thrive working with a growing company.

Key responsibilities:

• Be responsible for all coffee training output for Old Spike for trainees, mentor baristas and our wholesale partners.

• Manage trainee progression into our paid work placements at our cafes and ensuring rotas and payroll is agreed with the café operations team.

• Deliver all aspects of Old Spike’s social impact strategy focussing on our barista training & employment programme.

• Co-ordinate, develop and grow relationships with charity partners for both inbound referrals and onward recruitment.

• Track and report on Old Spike’s impact goals on a quarterly basis to ensure our annual impact report is industry leading.

• Working with our Marketing Manager to drive greater awareness of our impact across our social channels using agreed marketing principles.

• Lead on both our environmental projects and deliver annual report to key stakeholders.
