Chief Coffee is a quality-oriented coffee shop in West London. We serve speciality coffee upstairs alongside a focused selection of pastries and cakes, in a light and airy space on Turnham Green Terrace Mews. Downstairs we have our pinball lounge, with nine machines and a Japanese arcade above the coffee shop on our third floor.
We are looking for experienced, professional full-time and part-time baristas to continue our growth. We brew our own cold brew in-house, as well as offering a range of bespoke teas alongside our espresso & filter offerings.
We pride ourselves on serving the best coffee we can source consistently with precision, attention to detail and a dedication to constant improvement. The kit you will be working with is as follows:
· Custom painted La Marzocco FB/80 (2 group)
· 2x Mazzer Kony grinders
· Kalita Wave filter brewers
· EK43 – filter, decaf, espresso.
Workshop Coffee, Allpress are our house roasters with guests from time to time.
Experience in a specialty coffee environment is preferred but not essential.
Knowledge of espresso extraction, according to the variables of dose, grind, temperature and time. Experience with brew ratios and weighing espresso in and out is preferred.
Experience with milk texturing & latte art skills, with the ability to serve drinks at the correct consistency & temperature.
Engaging interaction with customers – understanding their needs and exceeding their expectations. A willingness to engage customers who want to know more.
Ability to manage the workflow of the bar efficiently at busy times, and when working solo on the machine.
