As we expand to a new flagship location in central London, we are seeking passionate and skilled baristas to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work across both our new and existing locations, providing exceptional service and enhancing our customers’ luxury experience.
Role Overview As a Barista/head Barista at XO Chocolate, you will be the face of our cafe element to our business, delivering a refined coffee experience to match our luxury chocolate offerings, whilst being proficient in Latte art. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about coffee, food, and creating memorable customer interactions. You’ll work closely with the café team, ensuring high standards of service are consistently met across both locations.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and beverages, ensuring consistency and excellence in every cup, including presentation of latte art. Educate customers on our selection of luxury chocolate products, pairing recommendations with their coffee choices. Provide outstanding customer service by engaging with customers in a professional and friendly manner, ensuring every visit feels special. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations. Support the team in daily café operations, including stock management, cash handling, and maintaining equipment. Assist in cross-training between locations, helping to ensure smooth operations and service standards across both the new and existing cafés. Participate in product knowledge training, staying up to date with new coffee trends and chocolate products to enhance the customer experience. Contribute to a warm, welcoming atmosphere that reflects XO Chocolate’s luxury ethos. Key Requirements
Previous experience as a barista in a high-end or specialty coffee environment. Passion for coffee and a keen interest in food, particularly within luxury or premium environments. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused attitude. Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering consistently high-quality beverages and service. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining calm and professionalism. Flexibility to work across both the new and existing locations, including availability on weekends and holidays. A genuine enthusiasm for learning about XO Chocolate’s products and sharing this knowledge with customers.
Competitive hourly rate of £13.15 - £15.50, based on experience, dependent on role. Opportunity to work with a growing luxury brand in a dynamic and supportive team environment.
