Are you a people person who loves great coffee and thrives in a vibrant, family-friendly environment? We’re on the lookout for a Barista & Play Café Assistant to join our team at our popular children’s play café!
This is a unique opportunity to work in a space where families come to relax, play, and enjoy delicious food and drink. If you’re a talented barista, passionate about great customer service, enjoy variety in your day, and don’t mind rolling up your sleeves to keep everything running smoothly, we’d love to hear from you!
What You’ll Be Doing:
Opening and setting up the café each day (dialing in the coffee machine, setting up the filter, and preparing the space). Welcoming families, checking them in, and ensuring they have a fantastic visit. Making excellent coffee and speciality hot drinks. Preparing and serving food and snacks from our small but tasty menu. Using the till system to process café and gift shop orders. Restocking supplies and keeping all areas clean, tidy, and organised. Sanitising and resetting the play area between sessions. Assisting with party setups, including prepping grazing platters and the party area. Helping to pack down and close the café at the end of the day.
Who We’re Looking For:
Experience: Previous barista/specialty coffee making experience is essential, we will provide ongoing training (including coffee training from Climpsons). Personality: Friendly, enthusiastic, and excited to create a welcoming environment for families. Team Player: Reliable, with excellent time-keeping and a willingness to help wherever needed. Availability: Minimum of 16 hours per week, including at least 6 weekend days per month. Flexibility to cover additional shifts, especially those during school holidays or special events is a bonus.

Pay: £13.85 per hour (LLW)
Expected hours: 16 – 24 per week
