We are a small, independent retail store selling high-end homewares. We have recently opened a small, takeaway coffee and matcha counter, also selling cakes and cookies etc.
This role is a full-time position with Fridays and either Saturday or Sunday off each week, rotated. We would also expect the barista to provide cover over other staff members holidays, on occasion.
We are currently looking to hire a barista with excellent speciality coffee skills who can confidently make high-quality drinks at a fast pace, as well as serving customers at the till. The candidate must be able to dial in the machine daily and as often as needed throughout the shift.
The successful candidate must be able to: + Serve customers at the till with a friendly and positive attitude + Prepare high-quality beverages at pace, displaying consistent latte art skills + Have a high level of understanding of speciality coffee and matcha drinks + Be able to fulfil opening and closing duties, machine and grinder maintenance, cleaning and posses an understanding of food and drink allergens
