WHAT IS BREAKAWAY- Breakaway is a cycling inspired cafe dedicated to serving awesome food, drink and commraderie to Briar Chapel and our surrounding community-whether you come on two feet, two wheels or four. Offering coffee and a variety of espresso drinks from our local roaster in Durham, Counter Culture, as well as seasonal beers wine and liquor. We will be serving breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as a variety of small plate options and a delicious array of baked goods. WHY BICYCLES- For many, cycling brings a sense of freedom and comes in different forms--road cycling, mountain biking, adventure biking, off-road sport and cyclocross. Whether you ride solo or with a group, cycling often has a social aspect that is often influenced by European or America tradition. Breakaway Cafe will be your stop for an espresso after an intense ride on the country roads of Chatham County or drinking a refreshing beer after hitting the Briar Chapel mountain biking trails. Whether you are starting, ending or in the middle of your ride, you can come to Breakaway to fuel up, meet up, celebrate and find essentials to keep your ride going.
